Once
you open your account, you will receive an email from COL Financial help desk
that your account has been activated including your USER Name (Account Number)
and Temporary Password. Below is a sample email you should receive from the
helpdesk:

(Note: There are no numbering of ❶❷❸❹❺❻ if you log in. These are numbering for explanation purposes only)
❶ Home Page - This is the
front page of your account (Like FB Home Page). In the upper left, you will
find brief overview of your account details and Equity total net value. Below
it are COL updates regarding stocks not limited to Technical Analysis,
Investment Guide and other stock updates. Upper right corner is a tab for quick
stock quote search. Below it are brief stock overviews which are active,
gainers, losers, markets status and your portfolio's stock performance.
❷ Quotes - As the title
says, this is where you can get quotes about stocks. The information we can
from this tab are stock information (including charting), market information,
broker information and dividend calendar.
❸ Trade - This
where you can execute buy and sell of stocks. This is where you can get details
regarding stock portfolio if we have stock position including historical
preview.
❹ Research - I
usually do not use this because I can check every day from their home page
their stock updates. Anyway, this where you can check all their stocks updates
which includes the old one. They divided it to Morning Notes, Fundamentals,
Technicals, and Archive.
❺ Street Smart - Contains
COL videos, featured downloads, local news and international news.
❻ Mutual Fund - This was just implemented last year
(2015). Apparently, COL is capable to give you an opportunity to buy mutual
fund if you are interested. Once you click the Mutual Fund tab then you will
open a tab exclusively for mutual fund. But your portfolio will not be split as
your stock portfolio and mutual position would be summarized on the regular COL
Equity account. Out of curiosity, I bought some shares in the mutual fund haha.

I only discussed an overview as I know you can manage
to learn these things. It is just like using FB. Maybe the charting part that I
will discuss in detail later including other basic information about
how to execute a trade.
